Gold Star Father to speak at WC Veterans Day program
The community is invited to 小湿妹视频鈥檚 Veterans Day program at noon on Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Kramer Flag Plaza located outside the Academic Building.
Tim Goski, a Gold Star Father, is this year鈥檚 guest speaker and will focus on the family sacrifice. Goski lost both of his twin sons, Chis and Mike, to the perils of war.
The twins joined the military following the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Chis went on to serve in Special Operations in the Marines and Mike was a Green Beret in the Army. Over 11 years, they deployed multiple times and returned with physical and mental wounds.
On June 10, 2012, Chris took his own life. Four years later, Mike died from an overdose. More details of the twins' war experience are provided in a Wall Street Journal video available at
The program will also feature music from the WC Jazz Orchestra, Doug Jefferson and Hunter Burt on the bagpipes. All are welcome.
